木雕漆金韦驮菩萨，又称韦陀天，梵名音译为私建陀提婆，意为阴天。韦陀菩萨是护持正法的一位大菩萨。韦驮菩萨本是印度婆罗门教神话的天神，后来被佛教吸收为护法诸天神之一，被誉为佛教中的神形太保，以善走如飞著称。 也有守护庙出家人的用意。在寺庙到供奉观音菩萨的庙宇参观或祭拜，经常可以看到手持金刚杵，做武将打扮的韦驮神像，韦驮菩萨在佛教寺院中，担任护持僧众、宏演佛法的任务。
