|铭文：蒙|御赐砚铭以静为用是以永年任寅春得宋坑石成砚敬镌以志|圣恩|臣杨琳||杨琳，于1716年11月25日－1723年9月9日奉旨接替赵弘灿担任广东广西总督。全名为“总督两广等处地方提督军务、粮饷兼巡抚事”的该官职，是兼辖广西地区的广东、广西两省之最高统治者，亦为清朝封疆大吏之一。1723年9月间，该官职改名为广东总督，杨琳仍任该要职大臣。
