本品施白釉为地，上绘粉彩秋水芙蓉图。花枝生于嶙峋怪石之中，姿态虬曲曼妙，其上盛开芙蓉数朵，色彩妍丽，娇艳动人。留白处书楷体御制诗《秋水芙蓉》，出自《御制乐善堂全集》卷三十五之“今体诗”：“秋水盈盈样远空，芙蓉寂寞碧波中。难将冷艳供群赏，且起寒晖放晚丛。绿盖光沉擎玉露，霓裳彩褪老金风。爱看三五疎星似，漫繁华十里红。乾隆丙戌，彭元瑞恭集敬书。”彭元瑞(1731-1803)，字掌仍，一字辑五，号芸楣，江西南昌人，清代大臣、学者，楹联名家。乾隆二十二年进士，官至工部尚书、协办大学士。纪昀为《四库全书》总纂官时，彭元瑞为十个副总裁之一。与蒋士铨合称“江右两名士”。
