王涛，著名人物画家，当代写意人物画坛的代表之一。现任中国画学会副会长。1943年生于安徽合肥[1]，原名王守信，号独天斋主，寄醉园主，字问溪亭茶客。1967年毕业于安徽师范大学艺术系美术专业班。1979-1982年中国美术学院（原浙江美院）国画人物研究生班毕业。王涛先生于1985年后，曾出任安徽省书画院院长、安徽省美术家协会副主席、中国美术家协会理事、中国美协中国画艺委会委员、中国国家画院研究员、中国画学会常务理事、中央文史研究馆书画院艺委会委员、国家一级美术师，享受国务院授予有特殊贡献的政府津贴。
