●林嘉（1874-1939），字瑞亭，号东山渔子，铜山（今铜陵镇）人，清末民国初著名画家。林嘉出生于一个贫苦渔民家庭，小时是银器加工学徒，业余自学绘画，以画仕女为主。稍长拜名画家马兆麟为师，改画山水、人物、鸟兽、鱼虫。他吸取了马兆麟、任伯年诸画师的艺术精髓，但不落窠臼，不谐流俗。他运笔遒劲利落，着色偏重花青赭石，能别开生面，新人耳目。林嘉善于观察生活，表现生活，把真实提高到艺术的意境、时代的情趣。
