圆形，平顶圆钮，镜面满布细密的水波纹，水天交接处一轮弯月掩映于祥云之上，其投影映射到水中也形成祥云托月的纹饰。镜钮左侧一身体健硕的牛深情的望着水中的新月，镜钮右侧对应水陆交接处的岸边水生植物。传说犀牛看月久了，起了感应，竟然把影子都印在了犀角上，形容长久盼望。此镜表现的犀牛望月形象由于大面积水波纹的精心布置使得镜背主次分明，颇有“春江潮水连海平，海上明月共潮生”的感慨。此镜纹饰精细，包浆完美，值得收藏。
