A Victorian silver egg shaped sewing etuiLondon, 1877, by Thomas Johnson I, retailed by Thornhill, 144 Bond St.of ovoid form, all over embossed with a foliate design incorporating birds and c scrolls, the hinged cover having a suspension ring and hinged catch, the interior silver gilt and velvet lined with a ring of needle holders and fitted with lift out silver needle cylinder, tape measure drum and bobbin, together with an associated silver thimble, Chester, 1896 by Charles Horner (2)length approx 5cm, diameter 3.6 cm. total weight approx 2.08ozt Condition: Overall in very good condition, slight ding to hinged cover only noticeable upon close inspection, measuring tape absent
