此橘皮红田黄石质细腻温润，略有包浆。石卿最擅表达传统文人书画题材，此作采用留皮手法，以薄意雕刻松下问童子题材。远山、近水、牧童、松下老翁，极富诗意的画面气息。作品构思巧妙，流露出一派浓郁的田园之风。如此名家精品，实乃收藏之上选。郭懋介（1924-2013），福建省福州市人，字石卿，号介伯、耿白。中国工艺美术大师。师从东门派代表人物林友竹，擅长人物圆雕及浮雕、薄意，兼工篆刻、书画，以雕刻薄意而著称。作品题材广泛，技法上得师法而有新意，文学艺术底蕴深厚，艺术境界高远，融诗书画篆刻于一炉。被誉为当代寿山石雕刻艺术标杆式的领军人物。
