A THANGKA DEPICTING SITATARA, TIBET, 19th ct., framed. She is seated in vajrasana on a lotus base with her right hand in varadamudra while the left is holding a lotus, wearing sari, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression, the upper register with Tsongkhapa flanked by Ushnishavijaya and Amitayus and the lower part with two manifestations of the White Tara and A THANGKA DEPICTING DORJESHUGDAN, TIBET, 19th ct., framed and glazed. Seated astride the lion trotting over a sea of blood, his right hand brandishing the Vajra while the left is holding a heart, wearing various garments, his face displaying a wrathful expression, flaming mandorla behind, the upper register with Tsongkhapa, lamas and Manjushri while the lower half of the painting show the other four deities riding each an animal - Property from an important South German private collection of a nobleman, starting his collection of Tibetan art in 1965, mostly purchased from Nagel and Schoettle East Asian Art, Stuttgart, with Schoettle no. 4028 and 2624, no. 2624 publ.
