A group of 5 Chinese snuff bottles dating from the 19th to the early 20th centuries. The group includes: a carved black cinnabar snuff bottle carved on 1 side with 2 figures in a mountainous landscape and a river with a village and a fisherman in the background and on the other with a fisherman, a silver and amber snuff bottle, a cloisonne snuff bottle with yellow 5-clawed dragons on each side, a turquoise snuff bottle carved with a flower, and a black lacquer snuff bottle inlaid with mother of pearl. Dimensions are: the largest snuff bottle, the silver and amber, measures 3 inches tall X 2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The silver and amber snuff bottle has a few missing elements where the stones have detached, the turquoise snuff bottle has a few small chips and the cork has broke off inside the snuff bottle and the stone may show evidence of dying, and the lacquer snuff bottle has some minor cracks and loss to the surface.
