An early twentieth century silver import dish with blue glass liner, the oval openwork form decorated with ribbon tied floral festoons enclosing twin opposed vacant oval panels, and raised on four cherub head supports, hallmarked William Geiger, London import 1904 with the Foreign mark, further impressed 930 and probable maker's mark, length 5 1/8 inches (13 cm). Together with a George II plain silver cauldron open salt on stepped hoof feet, missing liner, hallmarked Edward Wood, London 1740. Weight excluding liner 6.89 ozt (214.2 grams). (2). Both pieces with heavy tarnishing throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish, and displaying general expected surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with the age and use.Oval dish - Several cracks and splits to rim. Further splits and cracks to the decoration and likely small repairs. Some rubbing and surface wear to decoration. Hallmarks clear and legible. Glass liner appears in good overall condition with a few very minor edge nibbles. Salt - A number of surface dints visible. Hallmarks located to underside and are partly rubbed but still legible. Also with scratch initials next to hallmarks, M over I*C.
