多宝格兼备陈设与收藏两种功能，此紫檀大漆描金多宝柜上部亮格分为三个参差错落的通透空间、两处抽屉，一件小书柜。下半部分为书柜，整体比例稳重恰当。四面圈口及挂沿皆透雕卷草纹装饰。抽屉脸、柜门、牙条由细腻精致的花鸟小景为饰，除梅兰竹菊以外，还有玉兰萱草，清荷芦苇，情怀雅致。 亮格背板上以黑漆作底，金漆彩绘远山近水；山石、亭台楼榭、舟船人物线条细密、色彩斑斓；与紫檀木材相衬，多宝柜的奢华可见一斑。不仅如此，柜门所用铜件均为铜胎掐丝珐琅，饰五彩缠枝西番莲，保存十分完好，令人叹为观止。观之不禁叹皇家不惜工本，极尽巧工之能事，其本身的艺术内涵和高贵的身份也在这得到最完美的体现。
