An Edwardian platinum and 18ct gold, diamond and gem-set brooch. The old-cut diamond lattice basket, with similarly-cut diamond crescent swing handle, supporting a pearl, demantoid garnet, ruby, sapphire and diamond floral spray. Estimated total diamond weight 1.75 to 2cts. Length 5cms. Weight 20.7gms. With fitted Asprey case. Pearls untested. Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.Repairs visible to the reverse.Replacement fittings.One pearl shows glue at the mount, another pearl is loose in the setting, may require attention.Pearls untested for natural origin. Pearls are a creamy white hue, with slight rose and greenish overtones.Generally in good condition, with minor to moderate nacre damage. Diamonds well matched.Diamonds bright.Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.Diamonds with some small light and dark inclusions under 10x magnification. Some appear to have small chips.
