An Archaic Bronze Covered Wine Vessel, He eastern zhou dynasty, warring state period (475-221 b.c.) the compressed globular body above three cabriole legs surmounted by a short neck and a wide mouth, the plain body decorated with a raised band around the belly, the side spout molded in the form of a winged mythical beast with its mouth wide open, having a swing handle terminating in tiger's masks and joined to the cover by a chain of loose rings.
