A large matched pair of gold earrings, each a hook with plaque and inset garnet cabochon, hollow domed plaque with beaded wire rim and central void (gem absent), lateral loops and dangles, two loops to the underside retaining a transverse pin supporting a vertical wire rod with miniature amphora including spherical garnet bead. Cf. Marshall, F.H. Catalogue of the Jewellery, Greek, Etruscan and Roman, in the Department of Antiquities, British Museum, London, 1911, item 2370-1. 13 grams total, 75mm (3").
