|北京宫廷|法螺，为藏传佛教“吉祥八宝”之一，为密宗必备之法器、供器。据佛经记载，佛陀讲经说法时声音嘹亮，犹如大海螺的声音响彻四方，佛陀入灭后，后世遂以海螺之音代表佛陀的法音召唤，故称之为法螺。在各种海螺中，仅有一种全白海螺可以用于制作法螺，因白色可表佛教中空虚圆融之意。海螺顺时针方向生长者，即左旋螺；逆时针方向生长者，为右旋螺。本件即为右旋，颇为少见，外部包覆有铜鎏金龙纹饰件，工艺精美，为宫廷寺庙之物。
