LONGQUAN CELADON CARVED JAR, MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY.
Heavily potted jar is carved with four characters, separated by four panels of flowers, including peony, chrysanthemum, camellia and foliate scroll. All under a glaze of olive-green tone that also covers the interior. Wood cover with carved jade finial. Similar Longquan Celadon Carved Jar sold at Christies Auction March 17th - 18th, 2018 Lot # 1559 for $23,750. Dimension: 15 in. (38 cm.) H.
