王个簃（1897-1988），名贤，字启之，江苏省海门市人。16岁到南通求学，笃好诗文、金石、书画。曾任上海新华艺术大学、东吴大学、昌明艺术专科学校教授，上海美专教授兼国画系主任。新中国成立后，任上海画院副院长、名誉院长、中国美术家协会理事、美术家协会和书法家协会上海分会副主席，西泠印社副社长，上海文史馆馆员等职。为全国政协三、四、五届委员。他三访日本，1985年访问新加坡，讲学并举行画展，促进对外文化交流。 来源：新加坡收藏家
