Qianlong-Periode (1735-1796)Vierzeichenmarke Qianlong und aus der ZeitAuf rundem Boden mit schräg ansteigender Wandung, stark gewölbter Schulter und eingezogenem Rand. Rundum groß dargestellt, die Acht Buddhistischen Symbole jeweils über einer Lotosblüte, darüber in den Zwischenräume große stilisierte Blüten, auf einem Fond bunter Ranken auf blauem Grund. Um die Mündung eine ruyi-Bordüre. Die Vierzeichenmarke am Boden umgeben von dünner Blütenblattbordüre und großen schäumenden Wellen. Solche Schalen sind nicht nur selten sondern in dieser Größe auch äußerst ungewöhnlich. Vermutlich wurde diese in Auftrag gegeben für buddhistische Zeremonien am Kaiserhof in Peking oder Rehol oder als Geschenk an einen Tempel, der vom Kaiser besonders bedacht werden sollte.H 23 cm; D 42 cmProvenienzPrivatsammlung, Niederrhein. Qianlong period (1735-1796)Qianlong four-character and of the periodThe compressed globular body with bulging shoulders and an inverted lipped mouth rim, to the outside in multi-coloured enamels the Eight Buddhist Emblems each on a lotus flowers base, very large red blossoms, leafy tendrils and scrolls on a greenish-turquoise enamel ground, the large Qianlong mark surrounded by a thin petal border and large crashing waves. Such a remarkable alms bowl was most probably an imperial commission either for Buddhist rituals in the Qing court or as a gift to a Buddhist temple.
