|说明：盖盒乃用于盛装香料、脂粉、珠宝之属，因其盛装之物而倍显珍贵，为古人所重。在现存的越窑中，盖盒是一大宗，盖因古人珍视之而得以保存至今。其较高的地位亦反映于盒面上繁复而华丽的装饰，如本件盖盒所示之浮雕装饰是越窑中最成熟和昂贵的一种装饰技法。芝加哥艺术学院博物馆藏有一件相近的越窑牡丹纹盖盒，载于蓑丰，蒋人和着印第安纳波里斯美术馆1986年出版《Ice and Green Clouds：Traditions of Chinese Celadon》，132-133页，编号49。
