|各类家具都是方形的比圆形的省工省料，因而多作方形。独有香几，从画例及实物来看，圆形的却比方形的多。这和香几的用法有关。因为香几不论放在室内或室外，总宜四无依傍，居中设置。因此它的形制，适宜用面面观看皆宜的圆形结构，于是圆形变成了香几的常见形式。—摘自王世襄《明式家具研究》|本香几一对，以黄花梨木雕制。几面为圆形，束腰，三弯腿，下承托泥，曲线弯弧优美，有婀娜之姿。牙板雕卷草纹饰，似云翅飞翘，简约优美，为整器增添佳趣。香几可陈设炉鼎，宫殿佛堂，也摆设香几，除焚香之外，兼放置法器等。从丰富的细节足可见此香几制者刨除繁俗，法到自然，集合文人意趣心境与传统设计，巧用工料，终制瑰器，另观者怡心悦目。
