Chinese silk Kesi panel slit tapestry, of 19th c. Finely decorated with metallic threads showing imperial five-toed dragon with four cornering four smaller dragons, borne amidst fumes and flames. All reserved against deep-blue silk ground. The top panel shows a centralized dragon between two phoenix. The tapestry has a smooth surface and appears exactly the mirrored images as on the front and back. The tapestry has a pristine surface, magnificent thread work is evident in the abundance of fine detailing. Measurements: Height: 75" Width: 74"
