Song/Yuan DynastyMeticulously worked in the form of a crouching phoenix with its head turning backwards as the terminal, carrying a blooming peony on the arched shaft, skillfully rendered in low relief with the feathering tail and wings, the russet skin of the white stone skilfully utilised to accentuate the details, box. 11.4cm (4 1/2in) long (2).
