A PAIR OF LARGE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL RETICULATED REVOLVING VASES, China, Jiaqing period. The pear-shaped vases with a central revolving globular section with four openwork dragon medallions highlighted in gilt on a ground of lotus blossoms and scrolls, inbetween with smaller phoenix medallions on black ground, the neck with further lotus scrolls between ruyi borders, all on turquoise ground. - Cf. with three singular vases of the same type but significantly smaller: s.
