The first is a small pyramid-form amulet box containing a small clay tablet of the seated Buddha Matreiya, the Buddha of the Future, the box is decorated with a lotus-petal border. The second is a painting of Shakyamuni holding an alms bowl seated on a single lotus base, kept within a rectangular box. Provenance: Jan Brummelhuis collection, Amsterdam. Condition: The amulet box: The backplate has been replaced. Dimensions: 5 cm. high, 3.7 cm. long, 2.5 cm. wide The painting: With minor losses to the edge of the glass panel.
