The vase is decorated to the shoulders with two gilt fixed-ring elephant-head handles, the body is divided by gilt band into four registers of iron-red flowerheads on a black-enamel scroll ground. The turquoise-enamelled base bears an apocryphal Qianlong mark. Condition: There is light wear to the enamels and to the gilding. There is a small shallow chip to the foot (approx. 0.7 cm.)
