|说 明：水丞又称水中丞，一般多称就是水盂。是一种古老的中国传统工艺品。它是置于书案上的贮水器，用于贮砚水，多属扁圆形，有嘴的叫"水注"，无嘴的叫"水丞"。制作古朴雅致，为文房一重要器具。水盂除实用意义外，更多的是带有观赏陈设。它供置于书斋的案几之上，与砚田相伴，与文人相对。此件水丞选和田白玉整挖而成，料子大而白细，油润如羊脂。此件水丞雕作石榴，果实内掏膛作盛水器，外壁有枝叶、石榴花及果实攀附与白色树干之上，宛若天成。整体雕工精湛，内外打磨一丝不苟，将石榴变现的栩栩如生。所配木座也精雕细琢雕，刻之精丝毫不逊水丞。石榴则被人们视为吉祥果，喻为团圆、喜庆、多子多福、金玉满堂、辟邪趋吉的象征。
