|王南林号南林，家羽后身，即自诩为唐代茶圣陆羽的后裔，清代乾隆时期著名陶艺家，技艺精工善制各式茗壶、花盆、摆件等紫砂器，且件件结构匀称，喜用紫砂团泥制作成品如古金铁，曾奉旨制作紫砂器进献清宫；有诸多作品传世，北京博物馆等有馆藏有王南林制、御制字样传器可证；是紫砂著名大师之一。|此壶为筋纹器，十分考验制作者功力，壶身壶盖均为六份十二瓣筋囊，大小匀称，如出一辙，壶体纹理搭配精准统一，配置精密，无论是壶身、壶盖还是壶钮的凿刻都毫厘不差，壶嘴、壶把与壶底同样延续了壶身的风格，棱线相仿，整体设计优雅秀丽，线条流畅精致妙不可言；稳重中显动感，不失为大师的鼎力之作；壶底有「王南林制」篆书方款。
