|此炉精铜质，器表鎏金，仿商周青铜器簋形制，作圆形器。唇口微翻，收颈，兽吞式双耳，鼓腹下垂，圈足，现庄重华贵之感。簋式炉颈部，摹古夔凤纹饰，工整细致，钣型炉耳，龙首状，龙形威猛神秘，夜壑风雷，气吞长虹。腹部以几何云雷底纹，其上装饰乳钉纹，古朴自然而不失华丽。圈足胫部，装饰扉棱，间饰夔凤纹饰，刻画精细。足内鎏金，底暗刻“云间胡文明制”篆书款。此炉不仅纹饰精细繁缛，并且造型敦实沉稳，故庄正雅丽，风采绰然，颇具名家风范。|胡文明，明代万历年间，铸铜工艺名匠。云间（江苏松江府的别称，今属上海市）人。擅长铸造铜炉与文房用具，能按古代制式造彝、鼎、尊、卣之类极为精致的铜器。在当时的价值就很高，时称“胡炉”，或称“胡铜”，为世人所珍，可惜其铸铜技艺从不传于人。||参阅：《大明宣德炉总论》P191，Lot224
