石青色地，以织金法作莲纹，莲纹呈正面及剖面两种花型。机头款“恒昌出品”、“永记特选，最优真金”及香炉图案，表明其为晚清江南地区所造。南京博物院珍藏的“青地菊花织金缎”与本藏品工艺相同、图案近似，可作参考。织金锦本为波斯特产，元代蒙文中称为“纳石失”，是波斯语“Nasich”的译音，即以金缕或金箔切成的金丝作纬线织制的锦。清代满蒙皇族及上层达官贵人的衣着崇尚用金，酷爱织金锦，并以此显示他们的财富和地位。参阅：《南京博物院珍藏大系—历代织绣》P178。
