观世音菩萨，亦称“观自在菩萨”，为佛教八大菩萨之一。她以大悲大慈的救度之力著称于世。据说，逢难者只要念诵其名号，观音菩萨就会及时出现，救度其苦难，因此被世人广为礼赞和崇敬。观音头束高髻，戴繁缛华丽冠饰。面庞长圆丰肥，眉眼秀美，鼻梁高挺，双唇微抿，带有慈悲微笑，展现出观音对众生的关爱。胸前佩戴璎珞，帔帛婉转自然，贴近实际生活。双手结禅定印，左肩饰有鹦鹉，右肩饰净瓶。下身着宽松长裙，双腿结跏趺端坐。整像铜质古雅，造型端正，头部硕大、躯体丰臃是明代晚期佛教造像的艺术特色，堪称明代晚期菩萨造像的典范。
