琮式瓶始见于我国宋代，其样式乃是仿照新石器时代良渚文化中的玉琮而作。此器选用宜钧釉，因明代宜兴地区匠人仿宋代钧釉烧制而得名，流行于明晚至清早期，有天青、天蓝、芸豆、月白等品种之分，此器紫泥为胎上施加天蓝釉，釉层较厚，开片细密，配合瓶身纹饰，装饰效果极佳。参阅：故宫经典-宜兴紫砂图典，lot184紫
