Description: Middle Kingdom, 2133-1797 BC. A wooden tomb model with two males kneeling, wearing white kilts, black pigment to hair and eyes, body with a brown pigment; to the middle a quern composed of two grinding stones and drum-shaped body; all on a rectangular base with brown, yellow and white vertical stripes to the edge. See the model from the tomb of Sebekhetepi at Beni Hasan, now in the British Museum, accession number EA41576 for similar. 160 grams, base: 17.5cm (7"). Property of a London gentleman; formerly in an important UK collection since the 1930s; thence by descent to an Australian collector. Condition Report: Fair condition. Rare.
