Description: Chinese Ming Dynasty HuWenMing gilt bronze censer. Cast in a bulbous baluster shape body, with globular belly elevated the tall over hung flaring rim, raised on a footed base. The exterior carved with gilt archaic zoomorphic motif beneath band of tropical leaves pattern on the neck. The metal patinated to a warm dark brown tone and some milky blue-green encrustation. Mark on base, embossed six gilt seal script -ZhuanShu- characters enclosed within rectangular frame border. Dimensions: 3-1/2" H x 4" Dia Medium: Gilt Bronze Date: Ming Dynasty Condition Report: EXCELLENT condition, with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dent. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, considering ages and wears.
