Description: A very fine Chinese early Qing Dynasty porcelain baluster form vase. Potted in an globular lower body, tapered gracefully toward tall neck leading to a flaring rim, raised on a splayed foot base. The exterior decorated in WuCai compositions of opaque color painting, depicted descending dragons amidst flames and ruyi clouds. Banded with arrays of ruyi pendants and cresting waves. The composition is sophisticated and the decoration colors are simply a feast for the eye. The WuCai vase elegantly displayed upon a carved hardwood stand.
