|原装旧裱|说明：蔡远明末清初福建人，字自远，号天涯，侨居常熟，遂家焉，不忘故邱，又号紫谓山人，学山水于王石谷，得其指授，画牛与杨晋并驾，点色风华，笔情幽雅，脱尽闽中画习。从流派上来说，蔡远的画风可归属为清初“虞山画派”（虞山位于江苏常熟，该画派宗法王翚画风，其代表人物有杨晋、唐俊、蔡远等人）。蔡远的山水画师古而不泥古，既擅长摹古，亦能写生，是“虞山画派”中的佼佼者。从画风上看，蔡远的山水画苍茫浑厚、渲染得法，所绘山水生趣盎然、清幽灵动，具有很高的艺术价值。|来源：新加坡“长生长乐斋”主人陈寅初先生旧藏。
