|此插屏所用碧玉清亮莹润，色如翡翠，略有透明感，有碧玉特有的墨色斑点和如云似雾的片纹。此件碧玉插屏，利用碧玉中浅色部分巧作云纹及水纹，画面表达人物山水图景。而背部以描金方式绘亭台楼阁，远山近水。精工细刻，活色生香，虽以金绘骨却格调清雅。山水则以皴擦点染层层递进的倪瓒式构图描绘出水波浩渺山水景致。|整器施用浅浮雕和刻划雕琢工艺，刻划并填金，碧绿之上金光濯濯；是件非常不错陈设玉器。下配紫檀插座，刻工精致，与玉品呈色稳重得体，是皇家观赏玉器中的佳品。
