直径9.8cm
|盒圆口，盖略隆起，凹足，俗称“蒸饼式”。胎体较为厚重，漆色鲜艳，通体黄漆素地上雕朱漆，盖面及器壁均雕折枝牡丹纹饰，牡丹枝叶繁茂，花朵绽放，留底极深，花纹在阳光下投下阴影，立体感极强，十分美观。盒内黑漆装饰。整器的漆面红艳明亮，质地肥润，刀法浑厚宛转，藏锋不露，磨工精细圆润，将花叶的穿插交织表达的准确自然，其漆质和刀工都不是后代所能够仿效的。可以参阅清宫旧藏明代同类剔红花卉纹圆盒，见于《故宫博物院藏文物珍品大系—元明漆器》，第70至77页。图48至图54的几个永乐漆盒；台北故宫也藏有一件“明永乐 花卉盒”，剔法于此件极为类似，亦可以参照。
