这对壁瓶背后为平面，上有供栓挂的暗扣，瓷塑皆呈卧姿，女像拢发圆脸，细眉隆鼻，身着短袄长裙，男像头戴员外巾，身穿右衽长袍，细眉宽目，造型秀巧，衣饰均以菊花石榴等吉祥纹饰为装饰，是典型的明晚期的服饰造型，壁瓶出现于明代晚期，属于十分富有装饰性的壁挂型陈设，造型多精雅秀巧，由于明晚期到清中期，上流社会对居家陈设十分讲究，凡室内布置，必要求求清雅别致，故出现了这样一批精巧的室内陈设，是难得的赏器。
