此件以丹东石效西周晚期编钟形态的作品，以龙纹、凤纹为主纹饰，大量雷云纹为底纹，作者以阴刻、浮雕以及砂地阳文手法，仿造青铜器的铸造感，整体造型典正大方。博古纹雕刻工稳细致，繁而不乱。潘氏作品的风格，也曾经经历过博古雕的阶段，而在弟子中，对于此类题材继承最为优秀者，即为林国俤。其作品中大量运用青铜器元素，多整饬、细腻之作。
