此尊造像极为罕见，磨损较深处可见三层不同金属材质：外层为金，中层为银，里层为铜，体现了西藏金属工艺的精湛。铜心暴露处颜色变化不一，时而显出深棕色，时而因长年触摸呈现粉红。供养造像是为积功攒德，所用之金属材料愈贵重，所积攒之功德愈高。四臂观音乃六字真言「唵嘛呢叭咪吽」之化现，此心咒在藏传佛教群体中广为使用，是大慈大悲观世音菩萨愿力与加持的结晶。此处，菩萨的面庞和蔼可亲，有十五世纪中原宫廷造像的韵味。双手合十胸前作礼敬问候状，双目低垂俯视前方，深沈寂静，超脱尘俗。铜色的缕缕长发垂于双肩，斗篷之上更有环形项链装饰。莲花宝座的风格类似于本场中的鎏金昆秋贝尔像（拍品25号），因此两尊造像应出自同一时期。来源：美国私人珍藏，于上世纪九十年代购于纽约
