此尊金刚萨埵像与北京故宫博物院馆藏中一尊佛陀造像有诸多相似之处，参见故宫博物院藏文物珍品全集，香港，2002年，页142，137号。两尊造像之莲花底座如出一辙，均有宽厚的莲瓣，双层连珠上缘，以及锥形下缘。面部均较为清瘦，且额头及眉宇突出，可能出自同一藏中作坊。金刚萨埵造像表面残留有鎏金及漆饰之痕迹，此种装饰方法常见于明代造像，而在藏式作品中极为罕见，可能此拍品在西藏制作完成后即被送往中原。另有一尊风格可比的金刚萨埵像藏于巴塞尔民俗博物馆（参见Essen与Thingo， Die Götter des Himalaya，卷二，慕尼黑，1989年，页29，II-278号）。来源：亚洲私人珍藏
