狮吼观音亦称“阿摩提观音”，是密宗信奉的观音菩萨的诸多化身之一，此像头梳高髻，面相圆润丰满，双耳系珰。颈部戴有以叶片装饰的项圈，身披一条连珠纹圣带。游戏坐于坐骑狮吼身上。观音坐姿优雅，身形俊美。狮吼姿态威猛，回首昂望作吼叫状，造型生动传神。下承单层覆式莲花座，莲瓣饱满有力。据统计，留存至今的同类题材作品，多见于明代，且在汉传佛教中较为多见。此像为元代造像之典型作品。在创作的过程中又融入了尼泊尔等地的艺术元素。其合金铜质厚重精良，虽经氧化，但更能显示出历史的沧桑感，具有极高的收藏和研究价值。
