Description

明朝万历之后，汉传佛教在国家上层势力的支持下，一扫嘉靖时期的颓势，开始全面复兴。此时期的汉传佛教造像与永宣时期的汉藏融合风格有着极大不同，更为突出其贴近现实的一面。此像头饰螺发，肉髻平缓，顶置牟尼宝。面庞方正，五官端正，眉眼平顺，双目低垂，鼻梁挺直，表情肃穆。上身躯体起伏不大，穿垂领袈裟，袈裟上刻有团花纹饰。左手结禅定印，右手结触地印。下身着宽松长裙，双腿结跏趺端坐。整像胎体厚重，镀金亮丽，人物造型中正，显然受到汉地传统审美的影响，其造型与明代中后期造像作品如出一辙，更兼其保存完整，品相一流，其艺术表现可谓一流。
