壶身铭刻：金寿堂造|盖款：金寿堂造 |注：已通过24小时漏水测试。|金寿堂是京铁瓶重要堂号之一，与龙文堂堪称日本铁壶铭文的两大体系，其创办人雨宫宗兵卫更是与龙文堂安之介成为那个时代铁壶制作的一时瑜亮，其作品被奉于皇宫内作为贡品。金寿堂强调壶体制作精美，并以稳定的质量出名。相对龙文堂作品的花俏，其制作风格偏向高雅素洁。金寿堂制作铁壶的技法独具一格，擅长运用金、银、铜不同的金属材质镶嵌或浮雕于壶身或壶把上，在当时极为珍贵华美。从欧洲博物馆所收藏的铁壶中发现许多壶身或壶盖上常有落有金寿堂的堂号，可见当时其作品深受欧洲喜爱，更可看的出金寿堂的历史地位。除初代雨宫宗兵卫，雨宫宗等都是堂内著名的釜师。
