此杯与故宫博物院所藏“清·紫檀木雕梅花纹杯”造型相似，又与该院所藏“清·紫檀木雕花卉纹杯”题材相同，当为同时期作品，参见《中国竹木牙角器全集·3·木雕器》（下），文物出版社，2009年，页122/124，图104/107。
紫檀木质，主体杯身作兰花式，撇口微唇沿，弧腹下环收，外壁雕镂梅枝及玉兰环绕，粗枝为耳，细枝作足，众花竞相吐蕊、容姿曼妙，气格清新高洁，亦无柔媚之态，颇合文人之雅趣，见望之似有“冰清玉洁傲寒开，芬芳馥郁望春来”之意境，卓而不群。
