⼤⼩街巷标识如此详尽者极为罕⻅。《浙江省垣坊巷全图》，原系坦坦居主人绘于清咸丰九年（1859年），在太平天国战争前，全图绘制城内建筑、河渠、桥梁、官署、寺庙，以传统立面形象描绘。反映了清代杭州最为繁盛时的状况。咸丰十年、咸丰十一年太平军两度陷杭州，城中各公署几毁于尽，同治乱平后重建；部分公署不复重建，但图中尚存。同治六年（1867），许嘉德据清咸丰九年刻本重刻而成，并作记于图傍，据许嘉德所记，本图即为咸丰九年坦坦居主人原刻。
