说 明： 密函盒，为古代传输机密文件所专用，设置机关，不易开启。此件密函盒采用紫檀制作，接口处均为榫卯，正面装饰竹簧，上刻枯枝梅花，落款为老桐。老桐，为清代康熙至乾隆时期竹刻名家潘西凤号，艺术风格以平面浅刻为特点，与郑板桥交情颇深，郑板桥称其为金陵竹刻第一人。竹簧，为一种独特的工艺，取竹节内部薄薄一层，经过蒸煮晾晒，压平之后，贴塑或镶嵌在器物上，而后进行雕刻等艺术创作，工艺十分繁复，最初为皇家专享。
