One a ewer with a dragon handle, the other a vase with a compressed square-section body with loop handles to the shoulder, both inlaid with silver with Arabic inscriptions, the latter with a six character Xuande mark, 17.4cm. (2)
Provenance: by repute, purchased in Christchurch, New Zealand, previously in the collection of Charles Whittlesey Purchas d.1902 and thence by descent.
