DOUBLE BROOCH WITH SWALLOW DECOR. Origin: Presumably France. Date: Around 1920/30. Material: Platinum, 750/- plated with yellow gold, tested. Total Weight: Ca. 15,0 g. Measurement: Length 6,0 cm, width 2,4 cm. Diamonds: Ca. 112 old- and 8/8-cut diamonds Ø ca. 1.0 - 3.0 mm, in the standard quality for the time. Gemstones: 2 small sapphires as the eyes Ø ca. 0,9 mm. Description: Master's mark "J" in a rectangle with open top, surrounded by an oval.Several indistinct hallmarks, including one that looks like a rooster's head looking to the right.Swallow couples often stay together for their entire lives and, after spending the winter in the south, often return to their shared nest.
